After a review of research and information regarding district growth and maintenance needs gathered over the previous two years, the Fayetteville Board of Education has called for a special election on February 11, 2020, to request voter approval of a bond restructuring. With voter approval and NO MILLAGE INCREASE, the district will restructure eight bonds that will generate $111 million to address facility needs across the district, including renovation and upgrades of facilities, energy efficiencies, land acquisition and construction of a new school. These upgrades will impact every student in every school and facility across the district and are specifically in line with Goal 4 in the recently released 2019 - 2023 Strategic Plan. The Focus on the Future 2020 website https://sites.google.com/g.fayar.…/focusonthefuture2020/home has the latest information on the priority projects.
